A creative meeting with film director Viktor Merezhko was held at the St. Petersburg University of Film and Television
October 18, the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television was visited by the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, laureate of the USSR State Prize, screenwriter, film director, actor, winner of numerous awards Viktor Ivanovich Merezhko. A working conversation took place between the master and the students, during which the future playwrights asked the master of their questions
The loft of our University has become a platform for conversation, where Viktor Ivanovich opened up hisself for students not only as a well-known film expert, but also as a mentor and teacher. The guys showed sincere interest in his work. The dialogue turned out to be trustful and constructive. Answering students' questions, Viktor Ivanovich noted the freshness and creativity of the thinking of young students. Many students taked notes of the words of the master, who has in his creative folder more than 70 scenarios of full-length pictures and television series.
It is impossible to master the art of screenwriting alone. Viktor Ivanovich Merezhko focused on the urgent need for an experienced master on the course. He especially emphasized the importance of Yuri Nikolaevich Klepikov, a first-year tutor of dramatists-bachelors. The meeting was also attended by teachers from other courses.The meeting was moderated by Svetlana Ivanovna Melnikova, head of the department.
For several hours, they managed to discuss many topics: from the topical problems of Russian cinema, to purely professional secrets of dramatic art. Viktor Ivanovich was generous with practical advice and subtle remarks. He spoke about what he is working on today and what worries him in the modern world.
On the famous “guest” wall in the loft, Viktor Ivanovich wrote: “My dears! Good luck, desperate courage and patience - and you will win! ”Let these words turn out to be prophetic!
