St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television and Hainan Normal University discussed the study program for Chinese script writers-directors
On July 24, a meeting with colleagues from Hainan Normal University was held at St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. The main topic for this discussion was the study program.
Starting in 2016, our university, together with the Hainan Normal University, began to prepare directors for feature and non-fiction films. Training young filmmakers for the People's Republic of China is a step in preserving and developing the country's culture. As part of this study program, students from China study drama and directing, get information about the culture and traditions of Russia and also study the history of their own country. A unique educational program also consists the teachers and professors exchange from Russia to China. Of course, such a broad study program requires regular clarifications and adjustments.
On a visit to our university arrived: Tao Haisheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Radio and TV at the Hainan Normal University, Hu Kai, Deputy Director of the Institute of Radio and TV, and Ruan Yongchen, lecturer, associate professor. From the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, Alexander Evmenov, Rector of the University, Professor, Honored Scientist of Russian Federation, Dmitry Barsukov, Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Work, Konstantin Glasman, Head of the International Relations office, professor, Pavel Danilov, Dean of the Faculty of Screen Arts, Svetlana Melnikova, Head of the Department of Dramaturgy, Ekaterina Sazonova, Dean of the Faculty of Continuing Education, Elena Stepanova, Director of the Contingent Formation Center, Alexei Zolotarev, Deputy Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Evgenia Grinenko, Leading specialist in international relations.
Tao Haisheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Radio and TV at the Hainan Normal University, shared his impressions and expressed hope for further cooperation:
- I am very glad that we have such an opportunity to attend this wonderful university. Undoubtedly, we began to better understand each other, thanks to two years of experience working together. As part of this collaboration, we learned a lot about such specialties as director, script writer and producer. This program is very important for our students. I hope in the future our friendship will grow stronger. We will achieve incredible results, as well as implement new ideas and projects.
