On November, 14 the 18th International Student Films Festival “PiterKiT” starts
From November 14 to 19, 2018, under the auspices of the VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, the 18th International Student Films Festival “PiterKiT” will be held, which is being held by the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs “Rosmolodezh”, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Government of St. Petersburg
This year more than 500 applications from 50 film schools were submitted to the festival, including 25 foreign ones from 15 countries of the world. The competition will be held in three main areas: fiction, non-fiction and animation. For the first time, new areas were included in the competition program: popular science films and social films.
Evaluate the work of students will be masters whose works and names are inscribed in the history of Russian cinema. Chairman of the jury of the festival "PiterKiT" - Russian theater director, actor and producer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Rudolf Furmanov. Artistic Director of the Festival is Soviet and Russian scriptwriter, film director, playwright, actor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Viktor Merezhko. The President of the Festival is the rector of our University, professor, honored scientist of the Russian Federation Alexander Evmenov.
In addition to the jury films will now be evaluated and by the audience. After each viewing, films will be analyzed and discussed, and at the end of the program of the day viewers will see films by graduates of the University.
The program of the Festival includes round tables, master classes and creative meetings with the participation of leading filmmakers and professionals in the field of culture and art.
The festival will host several creative conferences in two main areas: Festival Promotion and Cinema Education, the most ambitious IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems and Prospects for the Development of a Staff Training System for Cinema and Television” with participation of film schools and festivals of Russia , Germany, Italy, Poland, Finland, Serbia, China, Estonia, etc.
Also, in the days of the Festival, a review-festival of student ' s actor works from creative universities “TeaKiT”, which has already become traditional, will take place.

November 14 - The opening ceremony of the festival.
18:00 - guests pass the red carpet, 19:00 - the beginning of the ceremony in the hall of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television (22 Bukharestskaya Street)
20:45 - meeting with the creative team and the screening of the film "We will not say goodbye," P. Drozdov.
November 14 to 19 - workshops and creative meetings
