Trends in the development of modern media education were discussed in the University
The II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Innovative Technologies in Media Education-2017" was held at the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. Teachers, graduate students and students of the university discussed the most important problems of modern media education.
Report of the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Physics, Corresponding Member of the RAE, Professor A. I. Khodanovich, who opened the plenary session, was devoted to the priorities and perspectives of the competence approach in modern media education, among them - teaching and research and project activities, allowing to integrate science and education into a single cultural space.
A great interest of listeners was caused by the speech of the head of the Department of radio engineering and information technologies Professor V. M. Pestrikov, in which he presented the evolution of radio broadcasting in Russia, the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting. His speech left no one indifferent, sparked a discussion.
The report of the head of the International Relations Department Professor Konstantin Glasman and the Docent of the TV Department Alexander Belozertsev "Student scientific forums: the way to the profession" aroused great interest among the participants of the conference. The speakers spoke about the competitions held at the University within the framework of the international scientific and technical conference "Digital and Information Technologies in the Electronic Media Industry". The competition of scientific works of students and graduate students is held for two grants of the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM) and two grants of Broadcast Technology Society (BTS) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to participate in the IBC 2017 (International Broadcasting Convention).
In the work of the section "Information and Communication Technologies in Media Education" the students of our University also took an active part. In the course of the sessions reports were heard on the current trends in innovation in media education. Questions of the competence approach in film-making, techniques and methods that activate cognitive activity, scientific research were discussed. The speakers presented an overview of the current problems and achievements in media education.
In the resolution of the conference "Innovative technologies in media education-2017" was noted the high level of its organization and was expressed gratitude to the organizational and program committee.
