The XV International Student Film Festival Peterkit 2015: the Winners and Results
On October 28, the concert hall of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television hosted the the closing ceremony of XV International festival of student films Peterkit.
Over four days students, teachers and special guests of the University and four jury watched and evaluated the works of young directors, cameramen, script writers, sound directors. The competition program of the festival included 66 films, among which there were 7 foreign films, representing the United Kingdom, Norway, Poland, Finland, Slovakia, Belgium and Cuba.
According to the chairman of the main jury, screenwriter, People's Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Khotinenko, the program of the festival was very serious and varied. Therefore the decisionы of the jury were not easy.
Each film was special, unlike any other. Therefore, in addition to the diplomas for the best director / cinematography / sound design, the jury invited several new nominations: "For the expressive creativity", "For the refinement and plasticity of the film", "For the continuation of the traditions of" Yeralash "and so on.
The most popular films were: "Don`t forget about Mori" by Maria Shiryaeva, "Dad" by Daria Zakharova, "The Family: Offline» by Georgy Porotov (diploma "For the best fiction film") and "Tired of fame" by Nelya Mursalimova. Young directors have not once went on stage to take diplomas for work and taking warm parting words of the jury.
Vice-president of the company «Panasonic Russia" Masato Nakamura presented the latest camcorder to the Cnematography Department.
- I am honored to be present at this festival - he said in his speech, Masato Nakamura. - This month, the company "Panasonic" special occasion as we celebrate another year of cooperation with your university. And after that, we brought a special prize. This camcorder - the last word in technology.
During the ceremony of the festival a video dedicated to the memory of Viktor Semenyuk was shown/ He organized the first festival of student films in 2001, explaining his plan to develop Russian cinema:
- It is necessary to graduate 50 - 60 directors in the year to provide filmmaking.
For 15 years, Student Film Festival Peterkit has become a launching pad for the realization of creative ideas of the future stars of the national film industry.
Grand Prix was awarded to the film "With a clean slate" directed by Julia Kolesnikova (class of Sergei Ovcharov).

8. Prize for the best debut of the name of the founder of the Festival Viktor Semenyuk - "Finnish knife, Persian lilac", directed by Raul Heydarov, class of Victor Buturlin.
