The Conference "The digital and information technologies in the electronic media industry" was held in 13th time
The contest for students and postgraduates, which winners will participate in the International Congress of Broadcasters IBC 2015 in Amsterdam, took place as a part of a major scientific event. Panasonic, one of the sponsors of the contest, presented the University the latest generation 3D camera.
The program committee of the conference "The digital and information technology in electronic media industry" includes Alexander Evmenov (Rector of SPUFT, Professor), Martin Salter (Director of the Educational Foundation of the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers IABM), Stefan Mozar (a member of the Administrative Committee of the Broadcasting Technology Society BTS of The Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE), Konstantin Glasman (Head of International Relations Office of SPUFT, professor of Television Department) and Alexander Belozertsev (Head of Television Department).
The event was opened by Yevgeny Baikov, the vice-rector on scientific work of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television:
- Today we will listen to the reports that perhaps in the future will form the basis of important discoveries and brilliant researches. For many students, publication of their work in the proceedings of the conference will be the first in their scientific careers, and will serve as a pass for further study in graduate and postgraduate.
Very important event in the life of the University was timed to this conference. The delegation from the company Panasonic, which is actively developing the partnership with our University, in recognition of the importance of the contribution of SPUFT into television in educational technology, presented the latest generation 3D camera AG-3DF1E. In addition, the parties signed an agreement under which Panasonic will present 5 cameras to the University.
Vice-president of Panasonic Russia Masato Nakamura belongs to the Board of Trustees of SPUFT, spoke to the students:
- I am glad to announce that we develop and extend our cooperation with the University. Today we had a fruitful meeting with my colleagues and rector of SPUFT, which I am sure will strengthen the foundation of our strong relationship.
The rector of SPUFT, Professor Alexander Evmenov thanked by Panasonic and its leadership, and pointed that the University is implemented jointly with the Japanese corporation set of projects, among which it is worth noting two scholarships established by Panasonic, TV Conference with the manufacturer and joint conferences.

The first day the participants of the conference presented to the public and the jury their reports. The next day finalists made speeches, than the discussion in English took place, moderated by Alexander Peregoudov, Associate Professor of Television, and the event finished by summarizing and awarding ceremony.
- At the conference I spoke with two themes: "Superstructure for the development of computer games and teaching game developers" and "The cyborgization of a Man" - said 3rd year student of the Faculty of Film and Television Technology Tatiana Grigorieva. - During the discussion, I expected more tension in the dialogue between the curators and contributors. Now I do not worry, but when will be declared the winner, I will be scary.
- This competition gives students the opportunity to realize their potential, - said Alexander Evmenov. - And those who did not win the grand prize today, must have confidence that next year they will be on the site of the winners. To success came, you need to invest a lot of effort, expand the range of knowledge, communicate with teachers and find a niche in which you are most powerful.
